Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter is a novel by Seth Grahame-Smith, released on March 2, 2010. The novel falls into the historical fiction, horror, thriller, comic novel, and mashup genres. On 16 March 2010, the book debuted at #4 on the New York Times bestseller list under the category "Hardcover Fiction", but then dropped to #15 in its seventh week on the list. The book received mixed reviews and was adapted into a film, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, in 2012. In 2014 a sequel to the book was released. The sequel is called The Last American Vampire and its Henry story in the 20th Century. There was a planned sequel to the Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter film titled “The Last American Vampire,” but it was never made into a movie. The movie adaptation was not produced, so the sequel book never became a film unfortunately due to the following:

• The first film's not deemed successful enough to warrant a direct movie sequel despite performing better overseas, which I find an unacceptable reason.

• Television Series: In 2018, NBC announced a "script commitment plus penalty" for a television adaptation of the novel’s sequel. Terry Matalas was slated to write and executive produce the potential series, which was described as a supernatural thriller following the character Henry Sturges. It was originally intended for Quibi, but the project's status became unclear after Quibi's shutdown in December 2020, just six months after its launch, due to a lack of subscriber growth and traction.
